Screenpositive.com supplies refillable cartridges and ink in bulk bottles for a number of 13” wide Epson desk top printers that are popular for making screen separations, particularly among T-shirt printers. The refillable cartridges are supplied in kits that contain a full set of refillable cartridges, filling syringes and needles, full instructions, and an initial supply of bulk ink. Kits are offered with two different ink configurations. Firstly, we supply kits that include a large bottle of our special Absolute Black ink for making screen separations. These kits are designed for ‘all black’ printing where every cartridge is filled with black ink – this is the most popular ink set up where a printer is dedicated to screen separation printing and images can be printed directly from Illustrator or Photoshop using the standard Epson driver software. Secondly are kits that include a bottle of Absolute Black along with a bottle of Absolute Clear. These kits are for people who have RIP software that can control which ink channels are used for printing - Absolute Black is installed in the active printing cartridges and Absolute Clear is installed in the non-active cartridges.

Absolute Black inks can be installed on dye printer models such as the Epson Phot 1400 and Artisan 1430 without cleaning the printer first. The kits for printer models that are currently running pigment inks include a 4 oz bottle of our Dead Head cleaning fluid to enable the printer to be flushed out before installing Absolute Black. The cleaning fluid is filled into all cartridges and is run through the print heads to flush out the current inks. The cartridges are then removed, drained of cleaning fluid, and refilled with ink ready for printing.
