These kits provide a simple way of recycling the waste ink tank on an Epson wide format printer. The starter kit comes with a chip resetter and 3 sets of the bsorbent wadding material for the tank (original tank is not included). The resetter is simply placed on the maintenance tank chip and resets the chip back to empty. The wadding is then replaced and the tank is ready for re-use. Once a tank has been recycled three times then further sets of wadding (sold in packs of 3) can be purchased so that a tank can continue to be recycled - the chip resetter works many times. Using maintenance tank recycle kits is not only kinder to the environment but also saves approx 60% compared to replacing used tanks. See below for pricing.

The Ink2image Maintenance tank kits currently work with tanks for the Epson Pro 4000, 4800, 4880, 7600, 7700, 7800, 7880, 7890, 7900, 9600, 9700, 9800, 9880, 9890, 9900, and 10000.

HOW TO RECYCLE A MAINTENANCE TANK

Recycling a maintenance tank is extremely simple and takes about 5 minutes. All you
need is the relevant Ink2image recycle kit, a small flat blade screwdriver and a
garbage can.

Step 1 - Using the small flat blade screwdriver, unclip the plastic grid from the top of a full tank.

Step 2 - Hold the tank over a garbage can, remove and dispose of all the existing wadding from the tank. The wadding will be saturated in waste ink so best to have a liner in the garbage can to prevent staining of the can.

Step 3 - Take a set of replacement absorbent wadding and insert it into the tank. mt-replace-wadding.jpg
Step 4 - Clip the plastic grid back in place on top of the tank. mt-lid-back-on.jpg
Step 5 - Take the chip resetter and place it onto the maintenance tank chip. The resetter indicator light will flash red for a few seconds and then turn green to indicate that the tank chip has been reset to empty. The tank is now ready to be re-used. mt-reset-tank.jpg

Repeat this simple process every time the tank gets full. The chip resetters work
many hundreds of times but can be purchased as spare parts if required.
